I love how the OP mentions how he JUST went from pump gas to E85, yet you all are mentioning everything BUT the tune.

You can't just switch from pump to e85 and change the tune one time and call it a day.

no freakin duh bro, ive prolly dealt with tuning , e85 and alot more then u so i know wut im talking about........ So with me saying this he states he updated his tune. i see your point and i belive you but this is not his issue, it could be tune which i am leaning toward if his tuner is a idiot and doesnt think on what to do or what to change to get the e85 to stoich and to get a good safe burn

Yeah you seem like a clever book of knowledge so I'll just subscribe and see what happens. You know, with the tune, once he has it re-calibrated correctly.

yeah im leaning toward tune after he told me his idle is 13 with e85.... Wtf right.... So we shall see, if his car is correctly calibrated for e85 and only e85 then the car will run great. but if not it can be doing this

Well if he is reading the AFR on a normal wideband it should still idle around 14.7. If he has one that can be set to E85 values then it will idle at its actual AFR, or if he has HPT setup to convert the wideband reading into E85 AFR. But say he is using an AEM EUGO it will read just like gasoline the whole time

It's not 100* outside, so I highly highly doubt his iat2's would be up high enough to cause kr

Have you tried switching back to gas + your gas tune and seeing if the condition still exists?

Tuning for e-85 really isn't that hard, so I'm curious to see if your car goes back to being fine when you switch back to 91/93.

well changing out the o2's today to see if it runs better... and i just have an AEM UEGO... and to clarify i couldn't remember where it sat...i said 11-13 but i checked today and it was sitting at 10.8-11.2 most of the time

tuner says on last datalog that the front o2 was acting up the whole time i was driving it...only was able to barely hit WOT once and after that if i touched the gas much more than 1/8 of the way it would just putt along...

i've seen cars get knock retard in below freezing temps in Celcius before. Yes ambient temps have a roll in it, but isnt always the factor if you are getting KR.

temps do have alot to do with kr............ If the ambient temp is -20 the car will add timing not only for cat warmup but for performance results and ect. if the car has been treated like it should with its tune, meaning spark adders ect , meaning theyve been taken out of the tune then it wont be an issue.

Yeah, I wouldn't go zeroing out those tables if the car is to be driven year-round, in drastically varying altitudes and temperatures.

it could but check the fuel pressure under boost and at idle, should be around 45-55 i think for a for a good fuel pressure under idle..... check for a exaust elak, could be tune as well wut r ure fuel trims as well.
