nice pics, looks like it fits decent. Were you able to fit it on without removing anything or dropping the engine? I ask because my weapon-r required me to unbolt my steering rack, front sway bar and my rear trans mount to fit it up to the back of the engine.

so do you need to dent the firewall any or just cut the insulation for installation...also is that installed from the bottom?

no, you can do it without unbolting anything; This particular header was installed without removing anything. You install it from the bottom. We do recommend for novice installers to remove the half-shaft though... It just makes life that much easier and only adds 10 minutes to the install. All in all, having it done professionally is the best way, even I hate installing these things. You use the stock manifold gasket..

No you don't need to dent, cut or modify the firewall in anyway. The insulation is all ratty because the AC pipe was modified not because of the header install. The #2 primary sits right up on the insulation, which is why we supply header wrap. Other than that... what you see is what you get.

yeah, i just ripped out all of my insulation because it was falling apart and getting all over my header as well as causing me to get a rash everytime i went to bolt or unbolt my header.

Someone might have already said this, but I believe someone on here had bought it and made a thread on installing it, but after multiple tries, even with friends helping, he could never get it on.

lol, I feel bad for the guys at JBP...ppl always ripping on the header and whether it fits or not....the pic. proves the newer version fits......just takes know how....and the "friend" probably tried installing it in the driveway.....there are mods that require a lift lmao...and if anyone has looked at our cars in the air...there is actually lots of room from underneath, so why anyone would try to fit this monster from the top is beyond me........bump...for a great product...that fits!! and, I'd love to see how this and a dp would do with a tune on my car...considering my mods........

Would this header be a good choice for a stage 5 kit with no head work? stage kit includes ported supercharger, 2.5 pulley, 60lb injectors, duel pass end plate, heat exchanger, 2step coolder spark plugs, and a cai. i asked you guys before the hp gain and u can't give it to me which i understand completly, however you say this is for heavly modified engines, is this heavly modified enough to see benifits?

I hate to jump start old threads but is this header for the 2.0, 2.2 or 2.4?

It does not say on the website.

It also has two prices which is confusing:
$490.56 US or $584 Canadian on one page and when you hit BUY it then says it is $584 US and $584 Canadian.

What is the price?

Also, will this increase the under the hood temp more than the stock manifold?

Thanks!

This header is a joke! Don't buy it unless you want it strictly for sound. I know someone who bought it and did a before and after dyno. He lost HP with the Vortex header and is trying to get his money back! lol.
Get a long tube header and DP combo from Clear image. I've heard good things about them.
