JBP Vortex Header vs CTI Racing Header
JBP header is expensive and a horrible installation, but probably the best sounding
i think a lot of members on here agree that its not worth it though. as far as better? what determines better? they probably have almost identical power gains...they both remove the restriction, and they both have long primaries

oops, jbp!
well i was told by lsj, that his cti header is a better header, and no offense to him, he helped me alot, but i want to get as many opinions and info as i can from people who arent selling the parts.

lsjwannbe is a very respectable person, He has allot of got info and wont just tell you somthing to sell you something.
As far as power goes im going to guess they are about the same or very little difference.
CTI Is a simpler easier install, JBP is a pain in the ass install but an awesome 1 of a kind sound, Depends what you want. Ones not really better than the other, Just different.

and what all this about the fitment of the vortex being terrible??? its not. it just takes longer to install being that you have to remove a few things.
fitment is perfectly fine hahah. its just a longer installation time is all.
an extra hour and a half of install time?
or an extra $1xx?
i'll take JBP and the extra hour and a half install time

its cheaper price makes up for the difference in install time i guess, im still out on this one tho.
where can i get a silencer for an exhaust? an si owner i know has a really loud exhaust, he says he puts a silencer on it for city driving, and takes it off to rip at night?

Its realy not cheaper, CTI comes with a downpipe, JBP does not.
And some exhaust systems come with silencers, Although i have never seen one for the ss that comes with one. You can buy them after market to fit most size exhaust systems

ye i just looked into it, i found one for a 4 inch.so the price is 600$ on the site, including the downpipe, nice
yeahhhhhhhh nvm. i'm looking at my discounted prices hahaha. thats why JBP is still coming out with a lower price for a header/dp...i was like wtf hahah.
nvm my comments. except that the JBP is a longer install. i'ld still go with them

I here you man but the gains are really really really good too thats what makes me sold for sure...im laughing at the ppl commenting that it takes longer to install..who cares? i am willing to spare another hour or hour and a half out of my day to put on a header that sounds and performs as good as that...i actually like spending more time under my car becuase for the most part that means i am going to have A LOT better time while im in my car..
the reason the jbp sounds so good is the same reason wrx's / sti's sound so good.. unequal length header primaries.. an equal length header has the potential to give you slightly more hp.. but it's a tradoff sound with good gains and some fitment issues.. over easier install a few more hp and a different sound...
it's personal taste.. honestly i think i'll go with the JBP once i get boosted as part of my final setup.. but i'm sticking with my zzp for now .. it was a great price and gives good gains..
if you want the most gains go with CTI... if you want a badass sound and good gains then go with jbp

but in being unequal it helps with the flow of exhaust gases. 1 primary helps the other pull exhaust gases out and improves lowend performance and through the midrange...the good thing about this badboy being longtube is that it is good gains through the entire rpm range..

thought you might be right on 4 cyls i have no idea.. i'm going based on wrx( the only 4 cyl i know that comes with unequal lengths stock) and bigger engines.. USUALLY unequals sacrifice performance for sound ... usually that is... being this one is done and is a long tube .. i honestly don't have hardcore facts.. but the "general rule of thumb is " equal length gives better hp gain and response... unequal gives good gains and a better sound..
