Just bought Ingalls Torque Dampner...

I just purchased the Ingalls torque dampner and I was reading all the threads. Everyone seems to set their adjustment at 12mm. Has this worked the best for everyone or is there any other input on the adjustment? Thanks!

14mm is the out of the box setting. I hear between 10mm - 12mm works the best for eliminating wheel hop.

Not quite the story; first the address you entered being the PO box did not match the billing address on teh credit card. We will not process any orders that come up this way. Many members on this site are well aware of this and is very common practice for online selling companies. Also being a PO box Fed Ex will not deliver to one and that is the only way we ship to the lower 48 states. Also 3 weeks to get your money back? The transaction was voided so there will never be any funds actually withdrawn from your card. It may show "pending" charges for 1-3 business days. However after that it will show like there was nothing charged. Please be honest and tell the truth as we like to operate the same way. So we have NO idea where you came up with 3 weeks..

noted other side of the story. But as a consumer, I would seriously suggest using other shipping options. I have ALWAYS had better luck with USPS than UPS or FedEx.

Just my .02 as the consumer...

EDIT: I meant to suggest having multiple shipping methods, ie, not just fedex... I feel like that sounded wrong

Turbo Tech is a great vendor. Always answer emails promptly and have very good prices. And I can't blame Aaron for using FedEx only. I know places that only use UPS as well. Better rates when you tell a company that you will do all your shipping through them.

I dont want to push any buttons or anything but if your policy isnt too charge people with the incorrect address how did his card get charged? There shouldnt be any pending charges on his card if it was never charged. I can understand both points of view. PO boxes can be a pain to ship too especially if you only use one company to ship through.

That is not TTR's fault, that is what MC or Visa does. For example, I bought a toolchest from Sears a few days ago. One box was damaged so I had to return it. IT was a good thing that I had someo available money on my card cause even though I returned the box Visa holds the transaction for 3 days. So it looked like I bought two toolboxes and then after 3 days one of them went away. Just the way Visa works.

It was not a "charge" it is an "authorization" to verify the billing address on the card. By doing an "authorization" it will actually put a temporary removal of credit or funds on the card. However within 1-3 business days these will completely disappear. This should make more sense for you. We are not here to make things harder, however credit card fraud is very huge, and we get hit all the time. We will not ship to anything but the billing address.

In the case that the "authorization" would have gone through and stated his PO Box was the billing address, we would have requested a street address to ship this item to. This is once exception we will do to help out of customers.

TurboTech has the best customer service I have ever seen from a company. And I mean all companies, not just car parts.

If I had a business and it was a PO box address that didn't match a credit card I wouldn't ship it either. It is a practice to protect the actual credit card holder.

So I may have overreacted but there was a charge to my card from TTR and it just hit back today. The address on the card is the PO BOX, its the only address I have listed for 3 years, and if you would have given me more than 12 hours over night I could have looked into it and cleared it up. That's cool, another vender has offered to to ship to my PO BOX at a discount rate. Maybe TTR should think about the fact that alot of military live in barracks and don't have a street address.
