Just bought my car today, ready to purchase AEM intake

I just traded in my 99 Grand Prix GTP which was running high 13's for an 06 Victory Red Cobalt SS/SC. I'm very happy so far!! I was planning on getting an AEM Intake 21-532. Can anyone recommend a good website to purchase it from, and what price should I be paying?

Congrats! I'm a new SS/SC owner as well and leaning toward the AEM. Here's where I'm probably gonna purchase:

I'm hoping I will like this car as much as the GTP, that was a good car. Never really had anybody try to race me, I don't know why - it was never stock. Heres a picture of it:

Thx, shes gone now , but I have the SS/SC now . I'm gonna miss that GTP, the auto in that thing was geared so long, would hit 50 in first gear. I think I am going to have more fun with the Cobalt though. She seems like a solid car.

high 13's is pretty quick. stock cobalt is def slower..... but a lot more fun imo. plus you cant beat the feel of a stick.

why AEM? i was tempted by the dryflow filter...... but it seems other intakes are putting out more gains. just my 'opinion' though. i just read an article in Import Tuner and their VTEC only got 4whp and 2lbs tq. was a honda tho .... seems any intake you buy, you will see similar gains.

btw, nice grand prix

Thanks for the comments on the GTP!!

No, no on the AEM?? I need to hear the supercharger whine, that and I need to learn how to drive manual better..

Quick noob question, but stock 1/4 mile times on these cars at sea level is what.. mid 14s?

Average is mid 14s. At sea level a decent driver should dip lower.

intake should be a little bit of improvement.

... mid 14's with a good driver. some rare situations are resulting in (or claiming to result in) ~14.1 times.

Nice GTP, I use to have a GT, would've kept it if it was a gtp. But the cobalt will deffinetly be faster than your gp was if you mod it. What did you have on your GTP, Pulley kit?
