I would, but I need to keep my warranty , after the warranty expires I may look into something like that.

Which tells me either he is flat out lying because he doesn't want to deal with it today, or he tried to flash it unsuccessfully, and said **** it since the CEL is not on.
Wow, id be pissed

****. A. Dealership.

They would have to offer me a hell of a lot more than a warranty for me to let them touch anything I drive.

Tell them you want compensation for the inconvenience, and a ******* blow-job. They'll know you mean business then.

I think this is being blown up just a little. The dealership will reflash the ecu for him without a doubt and he looses a few hours inconvience. GM Stage 2 does cut out at 7k.
Its a great deal to get 40hp for under 1k. I have nothing but a GM Stage 2 and got into the 13 in the middle of the day so just relax kido and get to the dealership when they can get you in.

It's not being blown up at all. You pay premium dollar for something and they screw up. They should be fixing it when it's convenient for you not them. It's called customer satisfaction. You've got into the 13's with just a GM stage 2? Ya ok...

From your other thread:
I had stage two installed on my car and it was set at 6500 also.I think they did a revision on the calibration to lower the limiter for warrenty reasons.Mines a 2006 btw.Dont know the date they changed it but I had Area57 confirm it and it was set to 6500 after dealer install. You can have somone with HPT bump it up.

GM Stage 2 will get an SS/SC in the high 13's with a good driver. It's been done many times by people on here.

Yeah maybe he should check the other thread called finally in the 13's. And people have gone as low as 13.7 on just a stage two.

Yes its a inconvience but a easy fix. It would be way worse if they where not going to re do it. I was at a dealership talking to a guy about a ss and he said he would have it transfered from one dealership to theirs so the next morning i would get it. Got there the next morning and the car was sold last week. Dealer guy had no clue and i was pissed.

**** happens is what i am trying to say, not everything is flawless. Yes the dealership fucked up, but is also going to fix it. All he has to do is just wait a day.

Maybe you kids should learn how to relax.

You dont need cooling mods with GMS2 to run 13's.

Actually, if you arent in the high 13's with GMS2 you need to practice your driving. A stock SS/SC is more than capable of low 14's. GMS2 is night and day from a stock SS/SC we all know that. So given that you can see why its more than possible to crank out high 13 sec time slips.

LMAO @ The comment about not being able to break 13's on GMS2.. I'm 100% stock besides GMS2 and I ran 13.871 last weekend.

No excuses either, but first off, my car does need a new TOB, and second it was 87°F out WITHOUT the heat index, and I sat in staging for what felt like forever. Heat-soaked to the max.

On a 60°F day, close to no humidity, I could see a 13.5 being possible. Honestly.

Well this is a forum, to post useful information, and, you were doubting that it was possible, and I am just verifying that it is in fact possible. I will take a picture of the slip when I have time.

Well I can't get my car in until Monday because I am out of town, but the service manager said gm may charge them something like 50 dollars for the flash...I thought that's what the authorization code was for? If they even try to charge me that I will seriously go off on them.

Ya the autho code when you buy you're stage kit takes care of that. If they try to charge you tell em to shove the stage 2 kit up their ass

no doubt. That is bullshit you already paid, it was the tech's **** up, not yours. If they do try to charge you tell them you wanna talk to the general manager, making a big deal about stuff seems to be the only way to get **** done at a dealership. If they still do wanna charge you, tell them to take the parts off get a refund and tell them your taking it to someone who actually knows something about chevy's.

I agree with that as well. Its definately something they need to reflash for free. No expenses should come out of your pocket on this one besides inconvience and time.

Update

Took the car to the dealer Monday morning and they finally flashed it. The difference is night and day. I immediately took it up to redline to test the new tune and sure enough, it went straight to 7k. The dealer even refunded me 90 bucks, so the install was only $180, which brings the grand total for the GM stage 2 kit parts and labor to about $800. Right now I'm just enjoying the extra power.
