just installed 2.9

I just installed nates 2.9, im seeing 15lbs of boost on the gauge at lower rpms that i used to but im not boosting the 17 psi i thought i would. meh it looks nice. easy install if you have a strap wrench took 10 mins. i would reccomend it.

i just wish i could hear it over my loud obnoxious exhaust

by 6800 im only seeing 15 hmmmm maybe because its humid as a mother here, or i dont know i'll tell you when i install my intake later.

one thing, i decided to not use the stage 2 bolts, and i bought nates but he never sent them to me so i used bolts i have in some kit at my house with lock washers. looks good and i used loctite just incase they got loose and fall off. anyone ever do this?

Do you get any belt slip with the 2.9 with the stage 2 belt? Or did you buy a new belt?

intake and exhaust mods, along with a few other things will alter your boost.
also hot weather will definately affect it.

your not going to see the same boost as everyone else.
15psi on stage 2 is in fact not "normal" sure thats what its rated at....
but most people will generally be a little lower or higher than that depending on their mods and conditions.

Similarly with the 2.9, math might say 16lbs....but theres alot more to it.

well, I am in Saskatchewan and we do get colder nights lol. Still, only 15psi of boost. Outside it was only 6 deg. C. last night. I did notice before that the Stage 2 tune for 07 Cobalt SS will bleed your boost to 80%, fixed this with HPT and still only 15 psi. Oh well, after the adj. to the stage 2 tune the car pulls way harder.
