go to autozone to verify thats all that it is...just the lean code, otherwise you have a real problem

i have the k&n and i would say my cel is on 50% of the time. Whenever it comes on i just use my snap-on code reader and its the infamous system is running too lean code. This can be fixed with bigger injectors but for the meantime before the staged upgrades, there should be no damage cause just becasue the a/f ratio is off a bit. I mean if it was serious the cel would be on ALL the time and your performance would be affected. You would deffinitley know if it was doing harm.

Your car is not running lean enuff to hurt a thing . You may only touch the point where the PCM will flag a lean code only briefly . Without directly clearing the code from memory , the light will remain on for a set amount of time without the condition showing up again . Thats why the light remains on for awhile and eventually shuts off . Then randomly turns back on .
