I think its more a matter of preference.. One of the intakes they are making takes 2 silcone peices for the pipes.. I'd rather have the one where the pipe is 1 solid peice so there is no restrictions as well. Like 2 silcone peices connecting the pipes at the bends is cheaper build then the mandral bent ones from K&N..
K&N has been around for a long long long time.. I am not sure how long Injen or AEM have been around.. I know AEM has been around a while.. But I dont know how long compared to K&N...
Basically they do all the same thing. It comes down to looks, how its build and in the end which one you like better... But like I said.. I'd rather have a 1 solid bent pipe then 2 pipes attached with silcone connectors.

Im pretty sure AEM is seeing better gains with there prototype then what is advertised by K&N... I would consider waiting.....
I would also consider the fact that K&N is obviously using a there traditional filter (oiled).. I with my SVTF I had a few problems with oil getting on the MAF and creating codes/running problems...
AEM is planning on using their new Dry Flow filter which eliminate any potential problems relating to an oiled filter.... just my $.02... The KN piece is very attractive looking...
