K&N intake or other?

Hey I bought my cobalt like a week or 2 ago and the guy who had it before already put a K&N typhoon kit on it although I was wondering if I should keep it or not.

I got this from ZZ Performance, "I would sell the Typhoon intake, it is not an upgrade from stock, it is just louder. Our Cobalt CAI is a good upgrade though, it is true 3” instead of 2.5” like the K&N."

Any suggestions if I should get the 3" CIA from ZZP or is it not worth the time? Also if there is an intake that surpasses the rest, that would be nice to know I know K&N has the most known brand name but I'm looking for best performance right now

I'm rather happy with my ZZP 3" CAI, It does hit the brake lines on the 07 no matter what you are told, this I know from experience but it isn't major at all, i just applied very light downward pressure on the lines and it was fine. Like ramrod said if your going to upgrade more get the zzp if not run what ya brung =D

Well idk how much you mean by upgrade more since I'm still learning, but I plan on doing stage 2 kit, header/downpipe and a new exhaust so far.

Will I honestly see a like noticeable power increase from the 3" intake cuz I don't think it will make too much of a different and I really like the noise the K&N one is making right now

No you may hear a difference but as far as feeling is not much but it depends on what size exhaust you go with to pick the intake, if you go with 3inch exhaust get a 3inch intake to let her breathe, being na, focus on letting the car breathe to let out some power, and a headerback with a stage 2 id go with the 3in intake and 2.5 or 3 on the exhaust, to me 3 is a little much on the exhaust unless ur pushing out some power

Ya well i got a banging job im actually at work now i dnt do nething but watch monitors checking my patients and getting on the net, but to go with a header back from zzp is gna cost you over 1000bucks, You want the ceramic or stainless wich cost extra, the price you see is just a base header, then you have to consider the cat wich i would delete and run a resonator, and then the dp and the dp back. your looking at over 1000 in exhaust and quite a bit in stage 2 mods, sorry to disapoint but thats the main reason mine is basically stock, its so expensive.

well the stage 2 kit installed from ottp is 860 and i just got that money covered. the header/downpipe combo is 700 installed from zzp. i havnt looked into the exhausts yet tho too much. so its expensive but not over 1000 and thats my limit i think

Umm now is that header stainless or ceramic coated, go with ceramic coated b/c it takes to heat better, and 700 for a header and downpipe, add another 400 atleast for a catback. and not too mention if you remove cat or go with resonator. FYI you can get the same dp used for 100 on here only 3000 miles on it. I suggest shopping around, dnt make any sudden buys

Ya me either, why are you wanting to cam it? what engine is it again? only cam it if you want real power out of the car, if you want a daily driver keep your mods simple or you will have more problems driving, a heavily modded car daily is not good!!!

As far as your budget, you are going to run out of money so fast your head will spin so slow down and shop around and do research before you start, do it step by step. I just have injen cai, and i just order my drilled and slotted rotors and pads, next month is the zzp 3inch downpipe, after that the other exhaust components
