I have seen people put hose clamps on the ends, then pry the hose clamps out carefully with a standard screw driver.

I put a rag around the end and gently grasped the end with a channel lock and twisted and each one came right out.

That is how.
Grab a some pliers and pull it out gently twisting it first. (Better to use a rag or apply pliers on the plastic part of the cores.
