practice practicce practice. also look into getting either the torque dampner or poly urehthene engine and tranny mounts that will eliminate your wheel hop. i ussually launch at about 2 1/2

my friend has the intense stage 3 and tune, he has 50% boost in first gear, does the stage II gm reflash also do that?

how much boost do you have in 1st, and did it make a significant difference on your launch? i have engine/tranny mounts, TD and a stg2 clutch and i get minimal wheel hop if any at all and no clutch slip but if i dont baby it in first i'll do nothing but spin till i get to the top of second, when you runnin someone from a dig its the excitement of hearing there tires spin that makes you kinda get ahead of yourself and give to much gas, anybody can get a perfect start when your running yourself, i think its when your running somebody that you panic a bit, thats why i always do 40 rolls

the guy that set up my car did a boost ramp for it... i couldnt tell you exact numbers but i dont get boost before 4k rpms, and it helped alot since i didnt have to be nearly as careful when launching. i do need to tighten up my torque dampener more because at 4k when the boost kicks in i will get a bit of hop if i have it wot. but overall i am very happy with the difference it made limiting boost in first.

Exactly the problem that I have. The best way to fix it is relax. And also dont pop the clutch. Let it out nice and smooth.

I guarntee if we went side by side from a dig and I feathered it out of the hole while you spun I would be in the front. Spinning=losing time out of hole
