Lightweight crank pulley

I've had one for years just sitting in the apartment, I remember hearing they werent very safe? Anyone got any info on these?

MRZ has two versions, one with a steel reinforcement ring and one without. the one with it steel ring is mmmk. the other is trash

the best one is the ATI Superdamper.
