You're going to get a lot of answers on this, but mine are based on what has been proven.

Headgasket will take about 18-22 psi before it goes. (Mine blew at 15 unfortunately)
The pistons will take around 350whp (Twincharged's redline made 363 whp on stock internals with just a SCE headgasket and Golden Eagle headstuds)
The crank and rods are good for 500ish if I remember correctly.

With that said, there are always exceptions to this rule. Some have cracked pistons, blown piston rings, and blown headgaskets long before they were due to. In reality every engine built is different and unique even know they come off the same assembly line. Some get lucky and have great ones, while others may end up with something that is just not up to par in certain areas.

A friend of mine with a Stg5 Intense blew a piston under full boost. So his pistons only handled ~275

There are many reasons why that could have happened. As I said there are always exceptions to the rule. Did the cat get clogged, did he have knock, was the A/F ratio good, did he have a bad injector or one fail, was he running 93+ octane, did the headgasket blow causing coolant to crack the piston? See what I mean.

Moose, look at the sticky I made about headgasket and headstuds for that info.

Its the boost that kills a car. If you can manage to get more horsepower without creating more pressure stuff won't start going boom. You do that by lowering intake temps, using lighter componets, porting the engine, installing cams, etc.
