We get it GM is covered and nothing else is. Can we finally move on now.

Couple of things.

1. Believe it or not, all of my mods are done by the dealer, and covered under warranty. Some of our other members who post on this forum, and live in my neck o' d' woods, also go to the same place. They warranty it all, and if something major were to happen, it's covered as well. That, in my opinion, is ******* great. Today was a great example. 3 hours of tech time, and my bill was $0.00 and $100.00 tip to the tech who is their performance/racing guru.

2. Pay to play is exactly what is it. I wasn't pissed that it happened, I was pissed that I was on the side of the road in the hot hot heat waiting for a ******* tow truck, however my cell phone and this board kept me company for the 45 min in 99f weather.

I'm sorry, GM for reliability? Before I moved, I got my stage 2 installed, My GM stage 2. The dealer didn't know about the reflash so I drove around for 3000 miles until I actually picked the manual up and read it. ..... Reliability?? Not all GM products, techs and dealers are the same.

My new dealer is great, and other people here will attest to that 150%, however I will never buy another GM part if there is an aftermarket part for it. It doesnt make sense.

That's good to hear bro. I'm glad you have coverage on your aftermarket stuff. Good thinking. Hope everything else works out. Later...

Well the post comes off like an "I told you so" and isnt really constructive at all. Might as well say "Ha Ha should have gone GM cuz i havent had any issues yet".

**** on everything cause all cars suck at on time or another its just how fast or easy it is to fix. I have 0 problems with mine and im running a 2.8 pulley on a stock computer and stock injectors with just a CAI and a catback to top it off. these cars are almost bulletproof from the experiences i have had but i always keep a cheap $70 OBDll scanner in my car just incase it wants to go into limp mode again. my limp mode was a gas pedal problem not a boost or aftermarket problem so have the dealership check that out.

I know the basic ones, like the one Autozone or whatever parts store you live by uses to check your code for you, can clear it, but it still gets logged. I had mine cleared before an emissions test on my old car, but because the code was still recent, they picked it up there and ran the full test.

Yo honda,
Sorry I wasn't around earlier to give you a hand. I was in philly for a week visiting family. And to all you others, I am one of the fortunate few to live near hnda and go to the same dealership. They have got to be some of the greatest ******* around. I roll up with my Zex kit and all they want to do is go for a ride. The best part is the shop manager just says.....'Hey I didn't see a ****** thing'. Gotta love it......Mush

Great dealership...I'm sure they make more money in installs than they'll ever pay out in the warranty work they cover.

I was at the dealer the greater part of the afternoon. I broke down by the golf course over the bridge. I'm sitting in my driveway now. Stop by, I'll be here.

This was found after compression testing, and finding that the plugs weren't firing. We replaced the 10amp fuse with a 15, and all is well.

HOWEVER.....

When this happened, I noticed that:

1. My radio, and it's peripherals are all dead. I don't know why, but they are.
2. My factory remote does not open the doors, trunk, or the emergency alert doesnt work either.

What is getting me is that I checked all fuses, and they are kosher. Did I miss something?

Please advise,
Hnda
That really sucks to hear.

Im glad im sticking with basic bolt on's beause some aftermarket tunes can really screw your car up [not just in the Cobalt Community]

You don't need tools, you go to the trunk remove the protector and there is a small disconnect that powers off the PCM.

on another note I was bangin my girl the other day and i stopped, she asked what happennend I said LIMP MODE !

I remember reading this..... then guess what happened yesterday. did all of the above and it cleared. no problems today.

Some other things happened while in limpmode. no dash. the guages totally shut down. and no engine light either. I shut it off, waited, started it up and the gauge cluster did not work, engine light on, and seemed to not run exactly right. Smelled rotten eggs as well. Turned it off, pondered what I should do, started it up sometime after and everything reset and worked!? Cars possessed I guess, now I cant part with it. Love all those evil spirits around you, including your wife or girlfriend. LOL have a great weekend.
