limp mode question
limp mode question
well last sunday my car went into limp mode for a while until it started up fine again but im having troubles now with shifting to 2nd gear when i give her...before i would stay around 4500 rpm's as i shifted and higher now i'm between 3000-3500 rpm's nothing higher, nothing lower but i rev the same as i shift into 2nd gear so i'm wondering if there is such a thing as an after affect on the cobalt ss/sc for a while until it gets back to normal or not?? and this week twice i turned on the car and it seemed like it didnt want to turn on but then it forced itself too... any suggestions on what i can do?? dont wana take it to dealership since they'll be giving me the run around so i'm trying to figure out an alternative solution...
ah and then that wont be covered under warranty i bet??? well i'll disconnect it tmrw @ work for a few mins but i ran against a civic 2nite and when i was switching gears it stayed around 4200-4500 rpm's so it acted like it was normal but i should unplug the battery just to make sure eh?? and yes i put 5 cars on a civic in 3rd gear..LOL..

When it happened to me I went to the dealership and there were some engine wires that were rubbing in the engine and it was almost shorting the car out. So I would take it in. Because you never know...
