limp mode question

well last sunday my car went into limp mode for a while until it started up fine again but im having troubles now with shifting to 2nd gear when i give her...before i would stay around 4500 rpm's as i shifted and higher now i'm between 3000-3500 rpm's nothing higher, nothing lower but i rev the same as i shift into 2nd gear so i'm wondering if there is such a thing as an after affect on the cobalt ss/sc for a while until it gets back to normal or not?? and this week twice i turned on the car and it seemed like it didnt want to turn on but then it forced itself too... any suggestions on what i can do?? dont wana take it to dealership since they'll be giving me the run around so i'm trying to figure out an alternative solution...

you could try un-hooking the batter for a couple(10-15) minutes and see if that would help.

They sell a little blue wonder pill that will fix your limp mode. Its ok man, admitting you have a problem is the first step.

you should go to the dealer. it appened to me. i went to the dealer right after the car restarted. it was my Crank shaft sensor. i told them it was on a heavy acceleration and they changed the sensor. they are know to failed.

When it happened to me I went to the dealership and there were some engine wires that were rubbing in the engine and it was almost shorting the car out. So I would take it in. Because you never know...
