looking at getting Stage 3

Well, i already have a stage 2 on my car from gmpp. I love it and made a big difference to my car. How ever, i have the chance to buy a used stage three kit from a buddy of mine that owns a garage. He barely drives the car and is just going to return it to stock. He told me i could buy the stage 3 and ALL of the componets ( dual pass end plate, pulley, computer and so on ) for $750 and he would install it for free. Does the price sound good to you guys ? Lastly , what kind of gain am i going to see over my stage 2 ? And just so you know i will never put nitrous on my car. I want my car to last longer then the loan on it does ! Any thoughts ? Im really curiois about any gains in power that i would notice ?

Thanks !!

$750 for a stage 3 w free installation? Sounds like a deal to me. I'd get it.

At this point if you want to try and get any more HP out of the LSJ, w out a bottle/turbo swap, or something serious from cobaltaddiction, etc...

For the price... I'd go with that...

The whole kit brand new will cost you $625 then the acessories that you will have to buy will cost you about $150 then $25 for shipping . Then you time to install it or a dealer to install it 4 hours at 85 per hour $340. Around 1200 for everything said and done . Or a used one for about half. I would check everything out on that kit before you buy it for any parts that are damaged .Then I would take it. Also make sure the ECU is for the correct year as your car because they are different .

Can you feel a difference =ehh it gives you about 8 extra hp not that big of a notice but the biggest notice is when you put the 100 octane in. Going from 245 to 260 you can feel a diference .Problem is that 100 octance unleaded goes for $6.00 a gallon. ouch

As far as the N2o. GM designed the kit to recieve a 50 shot and the pistons are rated for 325hp . With the shot it will only give 310hp.Now if you spray all the time then you are more likely to break stuff. If you run it ocassionaly you should be ok. GM designed it that way remember.

You have the clutch mod done so you will feel a better difference . I still have to do that mod plus the 50 shot

not worth 750. take that money and get meth injection, a heat exchanger, and a good tune.

well the stage 3 isn't meant for a DD, so no a/c is the down fall.

Put the money on the principal of you loan so the car outlasts your loan.

The dual pass is a pain in the ass to install...dealer cost would be upwards of 200-250 + parts...I can't tell if this is a good deal...stage 3 is kind of meh.

There's A/C in the ss/sc/redline? I just naturally assumed that's what the windows were for. That's caveman a/c folks.

I have the Stage 3 PCM for sale if you or anyone else is interested!

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/parts-66/fs-gm-stage-3-pcm-06-07-cobalts-126048/

You can run stage 2 on stage 3 hardware. Swapping the PCM's literally takes 2 minutes.

Thanks

im not talking abotu that piece of **** end plate for the manifold. i mean a front mount dual core h/e like a cxracing or something. the gm dual pass does almost nothing and is only useful for the option B that lets the air bleed out in the extra resivoir

I just don't see why GM did not put a bleeded valve in for the coolant like they did for the grand am and grand prix
