Lost power feels slower help!!!!! and a pulley question

ok imy car used to feel fast as all hell, then my motor blew so gm rebuilt it.....now it does not feel as fast, and at idle it loops a lil bit, i think this is do to the oil build up on throttle, but i am tryin to figure out why i am slowin down, almost like a bogdown first then supercharger helps it up, and since i got my car back from gm my exaust sound more ricy,it is starting to ppiss me off, like accord v6 are keepin up on high way,i used to blow them out of water.i am gonna run some seafoam threw it today, and put new fuel filter on,hope it works.

ok i got another question too i want to put a smaller pulley on, i have stage 2 already, what is the smallest pulley i can throw on with out having tune, i got 42lbs injectors,3.00 pulley now, i just wanna be a lil quicker. please help

I would say a 2.9 pulley because with the 2.8 you will max out. dont know about other question

You won't gain much dropping pulley sizes and I don't recommend it. As far as the car feeling slower there could be multiple reasons. Intercooler pump being out, warmer weather, heat soaking, spark plug problem, clogged fuel filter, clogged air filter, etc. I mean there are a bunch of little things that can add up. I recommend putting the car on a dyno and seeing where its at, and or find someone with hptuners to take a look and scan it for you.

Did the dealer flash the stock tune in by chance?

It's not safe to drop down pulley sizes because 1, you will be maxing out your injectors and 2, you will be creating more heat with the blower and you have no cooling mods.

Maxing out your injectors is dangerous, upgrade to 60lbers and get retuned and you will be set to use whatever pulley you want, however make sure you keep it within reason because of heat and over spinning the blower.

What is your current redline at?

What's your vacuum reading? Is the vacuum bouncing around at idle?

Sounds like the timing chain is off by a tooth.

You talking about the little plastic piece that has a hose running in the front and back and then the open nub with a hole on the top? For the life of me I can't think of the name right now but I know it is supposed to have a hole in the top so it can bleed out when the boost bypass opens

Take it back to GM and tell them to fix it right. What exactly happened when you blew your motor? #4 piston give out? Cuz, it is possible there was other damage they either didn't notice, or they looked the other way about.

well, it broke part of the exhaust valve off on cylinder #1and burt the top of #3,they rebuilt,i broke it in for 600 miles no heavy friving babying whole time, then hit boost and blew out dip stick, didi this twice, took it back they had to rebuil it again, cause rings on #2 broke and i think #4, so they rebuilt it again, noe my exhaust sound super ricey and raspy and it didnt before and i feel a power loss, so i dunno

So wait...ur on ur 2nd rebuild now? You need to go to another dealership. One of my buddies just blew his 2nd and 4th cylinders and they're replacing everything. If ur on 2 rebuilds, I can honestly see why there's a loss in power. There's most likely other damage to the engine that they didn't resolve in the last rebuild. As far as the exhaust sounding raspy, I can't see that having to do with the engine rebuild at all...unless it is the timing being off just ever so slightly and the valves are opening at the wrong times. If it were me, I would be taking it back and having them go over it again because something is obviously not right

It's the same time here...i just can't sleep. I would take it to another dealership if i were you, cuz to my knowledge, after 1 rebuild ur pretty much screwed. You blow it again after a rebuild and it needs replaced. I agree tho, I'll bet some tech got distracted while puttin ur cam gears back on and he missed by a tooth or 2.

What's your vacuum reading as I earlier stated? Does it bounce around at idle or does it hold steady?
