It's piping. One isn't going to "produce" any power over another unless one has more bends than the other but even if it did, they are mendral bent and you wouldn't even notice.

Just pick one. It's not rocket science.

Yea no kidding, I can't stand that sound, its the sound of an ass job IMO. Why make your car look good (which most ricer cars dont anyways) then go and make it sound like straight ass.

 

CTI Header and catless DP with a Corsa Sport= insanely loud at WOT like i cant even hear the supercharger at all.

 

well, my ARK N2 is resonated, so even w/ the de-cat downpipe, it dosen't sound like a pack of bees. Its raspy, yes, but not HONDA raspy, lol.

theres truly no such thing as a "Straight Pipe", the fact that theres quite a few bends in the exhaust will cause sufficient backpressure for the motor...

Back Pressure is good for low end power... but bad for high end...


So if you cut the muffler/resonator/cat/whatever, you will lose some low rpm power, but gain quite a bit in the high end.

 

you misunderstood what i said, i said I cant hear the supercharger, well I can vaguely hear it, everyone else still can though, supercharger coming at yah and the exhaust are you blow past.

why the **** would you want your car to be loud as hell? that way nobody misses the annoying jackass driving down the street? seriously, if you just want loud, please sell your car and go buy a 85 buick century and punch a big ass hole in the resonator......

Actually i dont drive down the street like a jackass, secondly my car is only slightly louder at idle than it was before i put the header on w/o a cat, its sounds almost stock at idle, and 3rd its only really loud at WOT. If this was directed towards someone else then im sorry, if it was directed towards me then just **** off who said your opinion matters.

dude I gotta say, that sounded raspy as hell...maybe its your camera or sumthin, but that sounded like dog ****. IMO. Seriously, If you want good exhaust just get custom **** done. Go to an exhaust shop, say hey I want a custom mendrel bent 3" exhaust set up. If a cat is required in your state like in mine, get a high flow, an extra resonator, and when choosing your muffler go with a longer more ovular one. That will create a deeper sound. If you want loud as ****, then dont do a resonator. I personally thought Blown 4bangers exhaust sounded ****** kick ass especially with the screamin of his S/C. so that is what I will be doing . But like NHJK said, its not rocket science, just pick one.

 

actually its not raspy at all. it was taken from a digital camera. but trust me its deep as hell. but i mean whatever its your money. i love my exhaust. it was inexpensive and it looks, sounds, and performs just the same or better then any other exhaust....but if you want to spend double to money on something else or do something custom that you done know how is gunna turn out or how much your gunna spend then go ahead. but im completly satisfied and so are other people that have this exhaust.

 

Well videos never get the true sound, that is why I said it might just be the camera. I'm not knocking you for it, because it is your car, and as long as your happy with it that is all that matters. I just like the way Blown's sounded, I actually paid 600 bucks for a custom header back (header not included) on my Cavy, it sounded good, and if I woulda got the header with it then it probably would took all the rasp out of it. It was a 2.5 inch high flow cat with two resonators on each exit. Dual exit.

 

 

catback exhaust with a downpipe with no cat is not bad for your engin... more airflow and less restriction, my car sounds bad A$$ with straight pipe.

lol.. MINE! Togg header, 3" dp and 3" to axle where it goes out to the 3" QTP electronic cut out the exists right behind drives door. Open its fcking loud!!
