lowered with 3" exhaust bangin on rear bar

It's been happening forever now and I finally just want to say "f%*& you" to my exhaust banging on the rear cross member. What was YOUR fix? smaller tighter hangers? My idea is it will always bang unless I tighten my rear shocks to be stiffer which I don't want.

I made another hanger for the other side of the muffler and tightened that ho way up and it doesnt do it anymore. I can literally do pull ups on my exhaust when its on the lift its so sturdy

it will hit.. a good way to stop the noise is to heatwrap both the exhaust and the crossmember

I had the same problem. Just took it to an exhaust shop and had it fixed last friday. He adjusted the hanger a little and put a slightly smaller hanger on it to pull it up some. It works fine now.

Apparently hahn is redesigning that section of their exhaust for that reason. Maybe shoot them an email and see how its coming before you perchase one.

Hahn is done making the exhaust, so if anyone plans on purchasing one, good luck trying to find someone getting rid of theirs

just realized when I was switching my o2 sensor that the exhaust is too long, allowing it to bang easier because it is farther down and doesn't have the bend over the rear bar exactly right, probably why my hangers are always falling off and coming loose because they don't line up right, I'm gonna go to the exhaust shop and tell them to take about 3 inches of pipe off from after the down pipe, that should finally fix my problem. It's because when they put the pacesetter header on it added to the overall exhaust length.

I had the same problem, the rubber hanger is a little to big, just had to bend the metal hanger bracket down and that stretched the rubber one so now it is nice and tight and doesn't bang any more or come loose.

I got the 3m backed exhaust wrap and wrapped it over the top of the rear beam. It would rub through every three weeks or so and id just apply some fresh stuff. A $20.00 roll of it lasted me a year

Poly hangers are probably a good idea anyway. The stock hangers suck. Mine let the exhaust flop all over the place.
