lowering rear crossmember help

im trying to take off my rear crossmember. do unbolt the three bolts to the frame? and is that it or do i have to disconnect the shocks also?

i belive thats it unless you want to drop it completely out then you would have to unbolt the shocks

you are on it thats it....or use a good quality pipe cutter and cut the stock exhaust at the weld just before the kickover so you can re weld it easily later...

cool so i dont have to take off the shocks or anything like that. just undo them bolt and lower it? that seems easier then cuttin it with a sawsall

actually i just found a how to thread. dude said just unbolt the rear shocks (bottom bolt) and that will lower it down.. im going to try it.
