ls4 tb and cat delete dyno results.

Brought my cobalt down to SMG and swapped out her stock tb for a euthanasia ported and polished ls4 and changed her zzp catted downpipe for a zzp offroad down pipe. Net gain 15 hp and torque. car runs well with excellent throttle response, only a little rasp. will post dyno pic as soon as this site will let me.

definately glad to see it, gained twice as much by changing the tb and removing the cat as i did by swapping to a ported single pass manifold and swapping in a 2.6 ported and polished m62 for my 2.8 stock m62.

Nothing against smg but I seen your comparison tunes from smg to gremlins tune. All they changed was pe timing and fueling and took timing away and added spark adders.. no no.. the maf calibration was never changed for the 2.6 .. I tell u what, go back to gremlin and I will be there to help him out if you want because going from a 2.8-2.6 will change about 3-5% in flow of air... So if the maf calibration is off the ecm has to work to make your stioch and.commanded wot fueling. So if you want to correctly get tuned, get with gremlin and ask him and ill lend a hand ..

But Ure power you made is good. Mainly from the catless dp... The t.b isn't much of anything.

your worried about breaking 300 on a tvs(not sure what pulley you are going to run) with all those supporting mods and 273 on an m62?

youll be fine

dunno, i dont see e85 or meth in OP's mods. if you want that TVS to beast you are really going to need one of the two.

Is ls4 even worth it? What are the gains of that alone?

i believe it gained more than 4, im running zzps long tube header/downpipe combo and i went from their highflow catted dp to their catless dp, i have a hard time believing that was responsible for more than a few horse but the ported and polished ls4 tb with the blended and polished adapter plate, that im inclined to think was easily half the 15 horse gain and it added a significant butt dyno improvement and response improvement. she really wants to get after it now. you give the gas a poke and she lunges forward. it was one of the last enterprise rental car things i wanted to get rid of, her sometimes lazy throttle and the ls4 did that.

lol no.... its more of a pain in the ass then anything. i actually downgraded, now my lsj trottle body sits in the shed.

When upgraded to the ls4 you do get alittle faster response time with the throttle, but extra power....naw not really

Ah Ok I have a couple of these. I noticed in 2008 there is a 6 pin used on those engines thats 78mm. Might be good for a big turbo swap.

Even if the gains are minimal its still throughout the whole rev range and itll only cost you around $75. And better throttle response is another worthwhile effort. Quit worrying about only peak hp numbers

yeah, most people say its worthless because the throttle becomes a bit more touchy than the stocker already is which makes a DD more difficult to drive in the stop and go city traffic. otherwise yeah its a cheap few ponies over the majority of the band
