Will an ls4 TB work on any lsj turbo intake manifold? If so does anyone have any hp gains vs a stock TB?

 

The LS4 fits where the stock LSJ TB would so yes. You need a tune. I have heard of gains but minimal, some think the gains are not worth the PITA the TB causes. Usually people get it then sell it.

There are a ton of threads about it, search them and find out more about it.

 

port the stock one out a little and leave it at that. i had an ls4 ported and thrown on my car. because of this i seriously hate my car some days and i had to lighten up my foot quite a bit. all for a max gain of 10 horses

 

I had a ported ls4 when I was still on the m62 and yes it was a little touchy but when your trying to squeak out every pony of that blower I feel it's worth it. When I switched to turbo I went back to the stock throttle body for drivability purposes.

keep the stocker.
