LSJ 2.0 in new Hot Rod Magazine
Got my new July Hot Rod issue yesterday in the mail with the new camaro's on the cover and going through it low and behold in the "speed parts testing" part of the magazine the 2.0 lsj motor is the subject, they proceeded to do a cam swap, then put on a magnusun mp90 blower, then tried a a magnuson 1900 tvs blower, they also swapped in 63 lb injectors, they also tweaked some things, nothing major but a suprising read nonetheless...i just wonder and thought how big a shame if i'm one of the only people on here that also saw/read the article...so for everyone wondering what kinda power they made...go buy the issue...
on a side note i remember on an episode of "Trucks'" or "Extreme 4x4" that was on a couple years ago they used an ecotec motor in a rock crawler, anyone see that?

yeah i read that issue. they also said if you did what they did plus add even hotter cams, valve springs to follow, fabricate the intake intercooling (cause ours is awfully restrictive for the 30psi), and some head porting could very well push it to 500hp

i haven't looked at the other thread yet but I actually picked up this mag for the article and there are a few interesting things about the build. First of all they are not using the stock ecu. They are using a motec EMS with a bigger map sensor and no MAF which is a really nice setup. And the 2nd thing is they are running 100 octane gas the whole time so able to push more timing and make more hp.
