yeah use 2.4 twin cam guys got screwed by GM , ive got 1 of their proto type kits on my 2.4 and i usually see 7psi

i havent put a boost gauge on my g/fs 02 eco cav yet , im running pretty much the GM eco s/c kit , but most parts came from the 2.0 lsj in the garage

but the 2.0 head with the cam posistion sensor wont fit in a cav with out some work , it hits our master cyl , and the trans for the 2.0 is bigger , and then there is the whole drive by wire thing

the trans would be a good swap for you cobalt people with 2.2 or 2.4

GM's car were mostly 2.2's with the supercharger on them , even before the 2.0 started here , which they borrowed from saab

well they got screwed when the bought a 2.4, the 2.2 is stronger and more reliable, If i were to do it all over again when talkin about a cav the engine of choice would be a 2.2 eco.

Unfortunately, you all missed my first post.

The car currently has the 2200 OHV which is a Total Piece of **** (tm), and the 3 speed automatic.

He has an LSJ sitting on a crate with the stock cobalt transmission, but I guess this isn't going to work.

not sure if the LSJ will fit into your sunfire, Im sure its do-able with some fabrication though. The transmission might be your issue like others have said. Perhaps swapping the motor into another platform might prove more interesting (S-10 perhaps...However, that would be even more fabrication...) Im sure its been done though.

O/T mantapart is actually on the same street that my G/F lives on. I got their fedEx address from their website, and drove on down the road to where their building should be, (or whatever they have), and I swear to God, there is nothing there.

I've heard a lot of bad feedback about mantapart, and their prices are way sky high. There are many more reputable dealers out there that carry the same type of parts they do, and are a lot less money.
