LSJ Fuel System Question
LSJ Fuel System Question
Hello,
I did some reasearch, and found that our fuel pulse dampner is on the end of the fuel rail. Good place for it. But that being the case, what is that flat round thing on the fuel supply line that feeds to the fuel rail where it has the fuel test port?
I cant find a name or part number for that anywere.
Also,
Is there an upgraded pulse dampner that we can get ? Do we need a upgraded one if we have larger injectors?

I took that apart one time, it was just a fitting, nothing in particular there really it was all machined metal. As for a larger pulse dampener, well that I'm not sure about. I've never seen it mentioned, but since most people don't upgrade the fuel pressure (unless they go return style, which would remove that dampener) they have no need for a different dampener since the pressure is "consistent" in the rail at like 55 or 57#s.
Well when I hook up my fuel pressure tester to it, the gauge needle bounces fast, almost vibrateing between 50 - 60 psi. That is with the engine at Idle. How much needle bounce should I be seeing before I should consider replaceing the pulse dampner?
I have the Aeroforce Fuel Pressure kit installed as well, and I think all the pulsing as destroye my sensor as the output is stuck on constant High.

hmm, well I'm on the stock fuel system, with 60's and when I had a tester on the schrader the needle was barely moving side to side, less than 1 or 2 psi in each direction. you may have a problem with the damper, yes, however with the aeromotive parts installed that changes things a bit. the fuel pump is constantly running with the engine on, providing constant flow at [value]GPH so there should be no pulsing really, so I'm not sure if your aeromotive fpr is screwing things up cause it seems like it may be.
