I bought a new heat exchange recently and when I installed I took note of the way it was plumbed. I quickly sketched a diagram on a piece of paper and went ahead with installing the new heat exchanger..

I was browsing different threads and it came to my attention my plumbing may be wrong.



heres a crappy idea of what it looked like.. The thing is the heater hose was all fitted and was plumbed perfect, so its not like someone plumbed it wrong at the factory, it seems correct at first glance..

Is It??

 

so u replaced the stock one with a second one right?

if so then that looks right to me. now if u added the second one then it would look different

 

Why wouldn't you just run the secondary one inline with the stock one?

 

thats what i did. but depending on who u ask they will say removing the stock one is better. but i left mine in

 

This diagram is what it looked like before I installed the new heat exchanger. That is with the original HE.

I did add the secondary heatexchange in series with the original =)

 

how did u route the 2nd one in?
