LNF Is turbo'ed, LSJ is supercharged

LNF Has VVT, LSJ doesn't

LNF Has direct injection, LSJ doesn't.

LNF comes with 260 crank HP, LSJ comes with between 215-220 wheel horsepower.

But yeah, if you want to know you must do your own research. There are enough threads on it.

you don't have hp's. the ss comes with a supercharger, so there is no hp like with a non-supercharged car

Chevy said LNF = 260 HP & 260 Torque
Chevy said LSJ = 205 HP & 200 Torque

I wish to reiterate that the LSJ IS UNDERRATED FROM THE FACTORY. MOST MEMBERS MAKE MORE THAN 210 HORSEPOWER TO THE WHEELS!!!!

Its not just one has more hp than the other. It more to it than that.

Then why would Chevy underrate it?

LNF Rating = 260 hp / 260 ft-lbs
LSJ Rating = 205 hp / 200 ft-lbs

However based on numerous dynos, the LSJ's actual stock output is in the area of 255-270 hp, and 220-240 ft-lbs. So going off usual stock LSJ dynos its more like this...

LNF Rating = 260 hp / 260 ft-lbs
LSJ Rating = 265 hp / 230 ft-lbs

LNF has direct injection, VVT, and a turbo.
LSJ has standard electronic fuel injection, no VVT, and supercharger.

EDIT* If you look at the GM rating, it says 205 hp @ 5600 rpm. However just about EVERY LSJ stock dyno, peak power is made at the rev limiter or ~6500 rpm, hmmmm...

You're just now hearing this? This is a pretty well known fact. People have speculated its all about insurance, but no one knows for sure.

Insurance, also they might keep the number down, so the next model up looks better....

It is part marketing....

Kinda like the Camaro and the corvette... Same engine, same potential... However they will state the corvette has more power as a selling point...

I know I'm jumping the gun, but I'd rather answer the obvious of "Why is the SS T/C rated .4 faster 0-60 and .5 faster in the 1/4 if the LSJ has more crank HP (whether the LSJ actually does or not, me = no clue)?"

Answer: Launch control and No-lift shift. Electronic Driver Mod FTL.

Yes, I said FTL. Wonder how it'd do without those driver assists...

C'mon Cam. You know for a fact that there is nobody pushing 230+whp on a mustang dyno bone stock (dynojets are inflated #'s). It just didn't happen. If somebody did, please feel free to post a dyno chart.

The most I've ever seen was about 225whp, and I guarantee you that was a freak engine. Pretty much every other stock dyno chart that I have seen was around 205-210, with the occasional 195-200whp.

By the way, what drive train loss % did you use to come to that conclusion?

Yeah, Edmunds ran a 14 flat at 103 and they only ran it a few times. Imagine what someone can do when they have the car for a couple of months.

I believe companies use dyno jets to give selling numbers thogh. Most people have 215-225whp. The 07's are known for being int he upper half. And it was definitely more than a few people who dynoed in the 220+.

Torque wise most, large portion, make between 208-213 wtq.

Hey my spelling wasn't good in the one you quoted...except I just don't correct my typos. lol.

Corrected for you?

That's important work!

I asked in your other thread what your supporting mods were and you're running the 2.85 inch right?
