LSJ to LNF swap shifter cable bracket?

I unbolted the thing and there are two cable knureled knobs holding the lines to the lsj rubber bracket. I have an lnf bracket that I want swap for stiffer shifts. Got it for 25 bucks shipped from mongorat. How do you get the cable off this thing, I see it has a recess but what releases it from the holders.

Crappy rubber mount on the LSJ softens cable movement.

New to me LNF bracket with solid mounts and recesses that seem to lock the cables on.

Few threads regarding your question. I'm mobile otherwise I'd link. Dirt and sand is probably why it isn't coming off easy.

I personally wouldnt say it was a night and day different. a nice upgrade for the price? yeah ill give it that.

This along with shifter base bushings was a nice upgrade to do for under 50$ together.

alright you all, the thick collars (white and black) are spring loaded, give them a shot of PB blaster, pull them back towards the fire wall and the spring tension or "bite" will release off the bracket. No prying necessary. You all get an F. :P

dont know havent got the car back together yet. I had a hard time with this and dropped the cradle and pulled the driver side control arm/strut/assembly. Gonna button it back up when I get some time this weekend. Only took 30 minutes but I go to school and work full time.

Got the car back together, oh my word this mod is so worth the headache and time. Made my shifter feel a lot firmer. Like TJolley said. It made a night and day difference. Not exaggerating. Feels like a different shifter.

kind of is .

What I mean is that it took the bounce away you get when shifting through the pattern. Doesnt feel spongy anymore.

Powell you guys getting any snow from that storm in the NE.
