Update

Took the motor apart today. Valvetrain looks a little worn....

punched the pistons out to discover this on the #1 and #4 pistons...

The #1 sleeve is fine, the #4 has a slight wave in the southeast corner if that gives you an idea of location. The rod and crank bearings look about the same as the valvetrain. The crank looks okay, no score marks or gouges. I am going to try and hone the mark out of the #4 sleeve. I also plan on taking the block, rods, and crank to a machine shop to have the checked out make sure they are good to reassemble.

most machine shops should be able to do this at a reasonable cost as soon as my engine is done ill be sending an old sleeve out to get 4 custom sleeves made that will be made out of a **** ton better stuff then gm uses and alot cheaper also

gm is relying on the block to support the sleeve the lnf/lsj use the same sleeve but a stronger sleeve that will fit in the stock hole will increase strength alot over a stock sleeve that gm uses and when you install them it dosent take much to shove them (you can turn the nut by hand with out a wrench and shove them in) in and they are so weak they distort when u install them
