LSJ: Lost power, won't run, no codes, Cannot pinpoint cause
While driving home Monday night I lost all throttle response and the cobalt shut off. Battery power was fine. All electrical components seemed fine. Car would NOT turn over, just endless cranking. Called my roommate to bring the laptop and HPT. No codes on scanner. Flashed tune just to rule it out. Same issues remain, except after sitting for 20 min it sputtered for a second, gave it throttle but had no feedback as if I wasn't even pressing the gas pedal. Called a tow in, and waited for the flatbed. Thank goodness my girlfriend was on her way home and came to meet me with a 10pc chicken nugget, fries, and sweet tea. I was tired, cranky, and hadn't eaten at all while doing my 16hr shift.... FML
Got the car home ($58 for a 1.7mile tow.... ugh) and realized the tow driver left my key fwd and with the multiple cranking attempts and HID's, the battery was drained..

Cliff Notes:
*Lost throttle response
*When battery charged, all functions work, no codes
*Cranks, does not turn over
*No coolant/gas in oil nor and fluids on the plugs
*I can hear the pump priming the lines
*Fuses all check out
Help?! Fuel pump is my first thought but never been around a car that went out

I'm gonna be doing all that when the rain goes away. Go figure the one day I have off it rains, heh
Gonna slide under there and swap the fuel filter just to rule it out

Any chance the tb could be bad? Odd but if the tb is bad a spring just pulls it to the closed position. Easy test: when I got my new one I hooked it up and turned the ignition on and stepped on the throttle a few times to make sure it was opening/closing properly. Though if you don't have a gas smell on the plugs from trying to turn it over maybe its not getting fuel. When my fuel pump went bad on my Cavalier, it was dead completely. Sounds like yours is still working.

Yeah, I was hoping there would be a code or something. Not even a misfire code lol. I just put a new tb on in June, it is an LS4 tb tho. Gonna be checking all these ides out when I won't get soaked. Garage envy
