the adapter plate is the least of the issues. that's nothing more than a quick 100 bucks or so...

ive had stuff 1 offed before and for something of this size and complexity if i do decide to get this made i fully expect to pay 1000-2000 for the adapter....cnc programing and machining for something of this size and complexity isnt cheap by no means

i dont come up with the pricing, one off professional CNC machining/programing costs lots of money

why do u think we pay 100 dollars for a 3 inch by 1.5 inch piece of aluminum with a few ribs in it. think about it pulleys are a piece of cake to make really relatively simple programing and usually its a 1 step operation (for the non interchangeable designs) each pulley takes maybe 10 minutes of programing and 10 minutes to make if the machinist is halfway decent not to mention they make 50-100 (or more) at a time and the average pulley cost is 65-100 bucks

now take a adapter plate, uses about 12 times as much meterial and on most standard horizontal cnc machines u would need to flip and reposition the part at least 6 times to machine all the sides down (thats 6 seperate programs right there)

now take the programing and the fact that your only going to make 1 of these all adds up to big $$$

its ******* expensive if you dont believe me go down to your local cnc machinist and tell him that you want to make a adapter for the supercharger, unless u are a programmer and or u know the machinist the standard rate for something like this is gona be 1000-4000 for a 1 off custom part like this

yeah it is.. why does it need to be billet? and yes an adapter plate is just as easy to make as a tranny mount. i have a plate bolted on my car right now that was $125 and is a one of a kind, so i know wtf i'm talking about.

if i wanted to make 50 of them i could probably get them done for 500 dollars each but then again i dont want to spend 25,000 on adapters however if someone wanted to make a (professional) kit the parts list would look something like this

60lb injectors............................220
Ported m90 supercharger...........1275
adapterplate.............................500
hptuner tuned software..............200

all above prices came directly from the intense-racing website (minus the adapterplate, im sure they wont be making 50 plates in one shot but something tells me they have a very good relationship with there local machinist )

so you would be looking at 2200-2400 for a complete kit - only thing not listed is belts and any possible gaskets and what not, but thats about what it should cost

from what rogue said a few weeks ago i fully expect them to be testing this, im sure if the gains are substantial we will be seeing a upgrade like this by the end of the year

Had a friend who put a whipple on his Mustang....lasted about 45 minutes and then locked up and it was brand new. I still don't see how you can't gain anything more from the M90. I wish that Kenne Bell would make a blower for our application!

Later,
Vince.

That sounds like a defective blower. I'm sure Whipple would replace it unless your friend forgot to fill it with oil. Not saying that he forgot but if he did I'm sure they wouldn't replace it because of that.
