Machine gun fire at WOT

That is what my car sounds like at WOT. I stepped down to 2 step colder plugs the other day and gapped them at .029. I got bored today and gapped them at .032 to see what would happen. Well when I go WOT it sounds like a machine gun fire and the car goes no where. So I gapped them back and I get the same thing. Gapped them to a .026 and I get the same thing. I put the old plugs in which are a single step colder plug and I still get the same thing. Any ideas what is causing this?

My 2.2 S/C automatic does this now and then. It only happens when the car is in 4th gear and if I'm going up hill and I give it more gas and it starts making that noise. To avoid it now I just blip the throttle and it downshifts me and everything is fine then. I've always been curious as to what it was though.

In most cases the noise is blow out from the spark plugs, kinda like being in a higher gear and going into wot just a little and it stutters some.

What I'm trying to figure out is what I am hear is spark blow out or something else because it's way more intense.

Regap your plugs to the way you had them.

I did. And I put the plugs I had in before, I said that in the original post.

Still on stock valve springs. I don't think anything broke. It almost sounds like timing. Wondering if that e85 isn't really e85 with it this cold. I'm gonna try and get ahold of mdub.

heres a little video of what its doin. im easing in to it then i go WOT. its hard to tell with the sound but when i hit 5k is when it does it. also my wideband has a mind of its own when it wants to actually work now, otherwise its staying at 14.8

i'm willing to bet that if your wideband were working, you'd be watching it go way lean.

whats your fuel system set up like?? almost sounds like the canister is uncovering and not pulling fuel. or youre getting some sort of fuel cut.

i know that if i have less than half a tank i can't go wide open or else the canister will uncover and that same situation will happen.
