I ran an OTTP stage 2 (2.8") most of the summer with no cooling mods. You're car isn't going to blow up. It will just heat soak faster. Go 2.8".

I ran my 2.8 without a HE for a couple weeks, it's cold up here in Canada right now as you know. Just don't do back to back to back etc pulls if your doing it haha.

If you use ZZP you might as well just get the oversized tensioner, their belt isn't a GM one apparantly.

I have a TVS with a 2.9" and just a h/e for cooling and I'm okay. Temps are a little scary in the summer after multiple runs though lol

A heat exchanger isn't going to bring you're IAT2's down. Maybe cruzing down the highway. Your temps just arent going to climb as fast and will recover much faster

No a dual pass designed for the coolant to spend less time in the intake manifold, thus keeping the coolant cooler. And you don't NEED a h/e and dual pass but it helps a lot if you are doing back to back pulls.

holy hell dezzie, you change your mind more then i do, haha. I went 2.8/60 with no cooling mods for most of the summer. Like everyone said, the car wont blow up, but it will heat soak faster and you wont feel the full power until you get some cooling mods. H/e will help, but i suggest get more cooling mods later one in the summer. I say get meth, that is one of the best mods you can get.

This ^^^. Running meth/water mix will actually lower you're IAT2's and keep them there. My temps are 120-130 after a pull.

that and it will allow for more timing. I was able to put my timing to 25* when i had the tvs and was only seeing 149* temps after 3 pulls back, to back to back.
