Yes. Yes it is. We are the lucky owners of what are considered, "tuner cars"(as i'm sure you're aware of ). Therefore we are doomed to have a choice between fartcans, and more fartcans.

I'm tempted to put on a header, highflow cats, 3 inch mandrel piping and then choke it all with the stock muffler, cause I refuse to put a can on this thing.

Thats exactly what im thinking of doing. I was thinking of putting in 3 inch piping from the cat back to the stock muffler. Minus the resonator or not, not sure.

I like it, atleast it doesn't have that annoying backfire pops like fartcans.

I just wish it didn't sound like crap.

The 2.2's exhaust sounds heavenly though

Good god. Might as well get something out of an APC catalog. That thing sounds aweful.

Buy the aftermarket header, and make a custum downpipe to connect to the cat. then keep the original muffler that isn't HUGE like this one will be.

$700

Get real magnaflow.

Don't bite on this one guys. If you wanna build a fast car for minimal money, buying a $700 cat-back isn't the way to go. I'd be shocked if it yielded anymore then 10-15hp if that.

Horrible hp per dollar.

$700US?... thats pretty steep for just a stainless exhaust. I bet our cars are going to be seen as expensive tuners... I'd probably wait for more products to come out to decrease the price.

I dunno about you, but $700 is a nice piece of change for me.
If I'm gonna spend $700 on a performance mod, I better get more then 15hp out of it.

well yeah, that and the fact that there's alot that we can do... I'd consider that a complementary modification. I'd do that after I'd reap all the power out of boost.

Corsa will be releasing a catback for the SS, but I'm sure we all know they're even more expensive then Borla, usually

I really like the sound of the 2.2L one...I actually found those links months ago but was going to wait around for more exhaust systems to come out to see what other manufacturers can do with it. So far this one is by far my favourite...sure it's Magnaflow so it's going to cost an arm and a leg but for a sound like that I don't know if I could resist . I'd like to see what kind of HP gains can be expected with the system though...but if I do end up going with F/I on my LS I'm going to need to widen the exhaust anyways.
