Magnaflow Exaust owners....

Hello all, I was interested in getting a CAI but I think I will wait until the staged upgrades are released and maybe the cars CPU being laxxed.

anyway, I want to take that money and put it elseware and I was thinking about the Magnaflow exaust. I dont want anything raspy, and I dont want an exaust too loud for its own good. To be honest I like the stock sound and just wish I could gain the few more horsepower and open up the pipe for the future. Ive heard integra's and civic's 3/4 a mile up the road and still hear their damn exausts at 3000 RPM. thats freaking rediculous. I dont want anything too loud, and I dont want anything that will take away from the appeal of driving one of the nicest and fastest eco coupes in the world.

How do you magnaflow owners like it? Does it get annoying, or do you find it to be too loud? Ive heard the sound bites from Magnaflows site, but that doesnt really tell ya much.

If you don't want rasp, then get a dual exhaust. That is your best bet. Just wait until one comes out or get one custom made.

I'm very happy with my magnaflow exaust. Not to loud but loud enough and deeper tone than stock. Nice quilty exaust and install is easy. The hardest part is cutting off the old one. When cruzing you don't even here it over the radio. When you rip into it it sounds awesome really opens up. The car feels alittle stronger up top in the rpm.

Dual exhaust won't help the rasp. A long resonator will help out though, like said above. I've got Magnaflow mufflers on my car, and love them. I've also got the longest resonator that I could find.

Well my magnaflow was delivered and is now installed. I know alot of you have been looking for a video and sound of the exaust. Here is a quicky I whipped up. The exaust is great much better then I was expecting. Its not loud when you are in chill mode, but when you get above 3000 RPM's it sounds great, and non ricerish....

heres the vid

Not bad, how much did you pay for the exhaust?

That clip is nice but doesn't do the exaust justice. Sounds much better under a load.

Yes it does. Basically you only hear the exaust when your pushing boost. The higher your boost goes the louder your exaust gets. If your just cruising and not boosting high then you will have a nice quiet ride with minimal exaust note, if you rev it and are boosting then you start hearing it, and thats when you want it.

I'm taking my resonator out because everytime I start the car up, it makes this awful noise. There's something in the resonator. I had my car on the lift one day and knocked on the resonator and low and behold, it made the annoying metal vibrating noise. I think it's like defected or something. Soon you'll be able to hear me from a mile away
