Does anyone else have one of these, I have one on my car right now in addition to a 22" long 4" wide Magnaflow resonator and it sounds like pure garbage. At low rpms and cruising it sounds great but when I get on the gas it sounds so loud, louder than one of those CRX's with a straight pipe. I am embarrassed to get on the gas, it pops and backfires when I shift, it sounds like pure fart when I first start the car. I just bought a Corsa Touring muffler from gearhead in hopes it will be more civil at higher rpms so I can once again hear the supercharger.

 

do you still have a cat??? if not, that doesnt help. however a race muffler is designed to go onto a race vehicle to bring the noise down to meet race regulations, typically they dont do a lot and will sound like crap.

Thats what I figured, im guessing it's pretty much just a straight through design to not affect flow which would explain why I felt a drop in low end torque on the butt dyno... I figure that this corsa touring should give me a little backpressure back and sound more controlled

It should be called the magnaflow Rice Series muffler

 

they are called race series for a reason, they are just designed to know a few DB off for a race car, not make it sound nice.
