maintaining the blower

well i just wanted to clear a few questions up i have about the whole intercooler and everything.

so how does maintaining it go? does the "water" in it ever need to be re-filed or am i missing something?

the coolant...what exactly does that cool, thats not for the intercooler is it?

about the water injection- when i read selfinflictions how-to....uhh the way its setup if im reading it all right....why would we want to spray water into our engines?????is the water setup to spray under boost, and it sprays in the intake tube if i recall???

stupid question, i know, but i wanted them cleared up!!!

the little resivior attached to the spot near the TB is the fill point for the intercooler/heat exchanger , im not sure if it uses the same mix as the main engine cooling , but both use dexcool , and you dont want to use tap water , you want to use distilled

as for changing it id guess it would be 5yr/150k miles like the main cooling system is , but check the owners manual to be for sure , as for maintaining it , just keeping a eye on the level there isnt much to do for it

and for the water/alky injection , you spray it into the s/c to help cool it , as well as add knock prevention , side benifit is it also clean the combustion chamber
