ive been looking for used exhaust and then found mandrel bend that offers new exhaust for the same price as used. im going to buy 2.5 inch exhaust but wondering if i should go magnaflow normal size or magnaflow over sized or borla i want that low tone. and if anyone has mandrel bend exhaust hows it compair to all the other exhaust catbacks?

just to let you know, any of those will probably be a little raspy due to the lack of a resonator. but if i had to pick i would say the oversize magnaflow, and then get a resonator welded in at a shop to mellow out the tone

You can get a rez from MES, you just buy it at the same time and they install it. Pipes look nice, welds are decent, parts are all good stuff, they have hit/miss fitment though. Some people get awesome setups, some peole get **** that couldnt possibly ever fit, at all. and some people get stuff that fits, but isnt quite perfect.

Mandrel gives you the option to weld in a 14 inch resonator for $70.... my whole 2.5" setup with magnaflow resonator and muffler was 355 shipped. It sounds beautiful

That's one pricey resonator. I purchased a 36inch resonator for half that lol.

SLP for $400 is a good deal, thats only like $12 over cost. But that doesnt have a resonator either.

A 2.5" stainless MES system with a resonator is $440 shipped.

i built my own exhaust system out of u-bends and used the same muffler and resonator as the magnaflow system has (at first i had a larger resonator, sounded great but hung to low and after scraping it too many times it started to rattle, i now have the smaller resonator used in the magnaflow kit). between the resonator and muffler i spent almost $200. total cost was around $300 to build my header back system.

for me it was a cost effective way to build a good exhaust because i have a welder, chop saw, grinder and the skills to do it. the mandrel bend kit is another good way to build your own exhaust if you dont want to spend so much time, however not as cost effective. if you dont have a welder, chop saw, grinder and skills to do it, its not a route id recommend. you will have $200 into the muffler and resonator, $200 into the piping kit, and then likely $200 at an exhaust shop to install it. if your able to bolt your own exhaust in, buying a cat-back kit would be a better option.

i have this kit from that company and bought the oval magnaflow with out the resonator..... 70 bucks is to much for a class pack imo.... but its only raspy when the engine is cold... i plan welding a summit glass pack in soon..... as for the product here is my review......
price....... awsome.

fitment.. not so well.... reasoning..... pipes hang really low before rear axel, and the muffler MUST be welded on the clamp provided will not clamp down hard enough.. i know how to weld so this was not a big deal....

sound amazing... all and all just buy it you wont regret it once i cut an weld my resonator in i can rotate the exhaust to hang higher up... just buy it and if you email them they give u a promo for free shipping they did for me

They weld it in as well.... makes it easier on me and makes it a hell of a lot cheaper than the magnaflow from most online stores

lol im in myrtle beach right now..... sucks its cold and rainy lol and i here stl has beautifull weather right now...... but yeah them welding in a resonator does make it easier on u... i have axcess to a lift and weldin stuff through my job so for me its no biggy... but if u dont by a resonator and get one down the road anything over 27 inches is way to long for this kit... i bought a 30in glasspack and its way to big
