I really like the sound of the gmpp exhaust, but for almost 200 less I could get the mandrel bent stainless steel exhaust with the Magnaflow and 18 inch resonator. Im hoping someone has an insight as to the sound differences of the 2.

My opinion, any magnaflow system sounds ricey on these cars, whether it be the complete magnaflow exhaust or a custom setup with some sort of magnaflow muffler, it just gives the car a shitty tone.

The GMPP/Borla exhaust has a great mellow tone, very nice for a 4cyl, none of the rasp you get with magnaflow components on these cars. Downside is that it is 2.25" still, so it doesn't really allow you to push a lot of air through it as you increase power output. If you plan to keep your mods as they are, you should be fine. If you are planning to jump up in power by a good bit though, the GMPP is going to be a restriction at some point. I made over 300whp on it, but I could have made more with a bigger exhaust at that level of airflow.

 

I might have to find some clips of the borla, mandrel offers the borla muffler, so you think that would be a better choice in the long run?, getting a tvs in the future is not out of the question.

 

There is no comparison in quality between MES and GMPP, the GMPP blows away the MES system ans is worth the extra money unless 2.25" isnt big enough for you
