mani gasket

Ok i have a big oil leak somewhere and i started today by taking off my supercharger to look at the gasket and i saw that it was shot. would that make oil come out alot?? I mean i know i have blow by because of the gasket but how bad would oil come out??

If the intake manifold gasket is shot you will have A LOT of blow by, I mean enough to float a ping pong ball on top of the valve cover lol. I recommend replacing it with the new gm upgraded intake manifold gasket.

edit: Did you ever have the issue of your dipstick popping out?

yepp thats why i tore apart my motor and found #4 piston in half. IF your rings are shot or your piston is cracked in any way and if it allows air to come threw the cylinder walls it will cause the dip stick to pop out... just alittle advice with anyone having thi problem

Yea right now my compression is at 100, 105, 110, 115. Dipstick is popping out every time I get high into boost. Monday we are starting the rebuild. Good luck with yours.
