Manifold Question - GMPP Manifold & Ported Stock Manifold

Can anyone tell me if there is a difference between a ported stock manifold and a gmpp manifold??

I have a ported stock manifold but I want to know if its worth getting the gmpp manifold.

I know some of you will say go aftermarket, but lets just exclude that as being an option right now.

Thanks.

The GMPP manifold is a stock SS manifold that is ported and honed.

So the answer is that the GMPP is a huge waste of money.

Dude get yourself a header/downpipe combo from clearimage they were great to deal with and I got my header quick and I'm from the maritmes like you. I"ve gain the most noticeble hp from this mod.

Well.... I have a used GMPP lined up at a great price, I'm just wondering which of the two would be better.

What is the honed part all about on the GMPP??

I plan on getting a header/dp combo eventually but its a little too expensive for me right now hence the reason for going this route at this time.

They just bore out the stock header then smooth it out.

If you have a ported SS header you won't gain anything with the GMPP header.

That's a fact. Aftermarket is the only thing that will gain you anymore horsepower.

Summit racing has pacesetter header for 177. Thats the route i went. All you have to do is have the ball joint cut off, and its surprisingly one of the better headers for the SS.

The GMPP header is honed through-out, where-as your ported header is only bigger as far as your tool can reach through each opening..

Gains would be minimal
