MAP senser question!
guys our stock MAp senser is a 2bar correct???
than how are they still working with some of the guys way over the 15lbs mark that the stock sensor is rated for?

It's a sensor not a controller.
It converts a pressure signal to a voltage signal and that goes to the PCM.
The maximum signal range is 14.31 PSIG or 29.01 PSIA resulting in a 4.90 Voltage signal to the PCM.
Any pressure above 29.01 PSIA will still only show 4.90 Volts to the PCM, but as RPM increases (along with all of the other sensor inputs used in the fuel and timing) fuel and timing will still change. MAP input just becomes a constant frol that point on.
Since load (MAP) is a primary input for fuel and timing it will quickly become a problem if no other sensor inputs sum up to enough change for proper adjustement.
This is a primary reason why an OEM Tune and an Aftermarket Tune are so different. OEM makes room for the extreme conditions where most of the time the Aftermarket removes that safety in favor of performance.
