your TA wont have a SCIP (supercharger inlet pressure)

and a baro (barometric presser sensor) measures just atmospheric pressure changes.

is your TA boosted? if so, use map

if not, set it off TPS.

I am going to be running the sts turbo kit. I still have my progressive devils own water meth kit off the Cobalt and it uses the map sensor. I sold my old intake and left the sensor in. I still have the baro sensor so That is why I was wondering if it was 2 bar also.

I think they are both 2 bar sensors, but they do have different part numbers. The IAT2\MAP sensor in the intake manifold is a 2.5 bar sensor.

an IAT sensor DOES NOT measure pressure, it has no "BAR" rateing.

same with the baro sensor, thats for atmospheric pressure only.

your MAP sensor is the key, 1 bar is required to read normal, day to day pressures. any boost amount requires the sensor to be set up to read above atmospheric.

a normal NA car will not have such a feature from the factory.

I think he understands an IAT DOES NOT read pressure, but the SS does have a 2 in one MAP sensor.

Exactly^^ I just want something to control the water meth not feed the pcm. I guess I'll have to take a voltage reading off the baro and see if it is 2 bar.

it reads atmospheric pressure, thus its a 1 bar.
