Maple Groove Tonight / Tips Please
I'm heading out to Maple Grove, PA tonight. I want to see how my car runs stock. Want to make as many practice runs as I can so I can learn how to launch my car. Anyone have some tips who have raced at this track before? Anyone else want to plan on going tonight? Can't wait, it is going to be a adrenaline rush.

It's amazing what low end torque does though...even compared to my mustang the truck just hauls from a dig even with torque management at stock levels. I consistantly cut 2.1-2.2 60fts on stock rubber, with a stall and some DR's I bet this thing will cut 1.7-1.8's like cake. But at the same time my best ET is a 15.56 @ 88mph so there is definitely room for improvement. The only mod I have right now is my corsa exhaust, I had a tune for a few days but it was mail order and I decided to do it right and get a live tune done...which will be happening tomorrow. These trucks are so detuned from the factory that it's not uncommon for people to pick up at least .5 tenths alone from a tune in factory trim. One guy just reported a few days ago that with a tune and gear swap he gained 1.5 seconds of his ET! I hope that's the case with my truck...
Whoa, sorry for the novel.

Thanks alot Tofu! I will try this. It seems alot of people have alot of differant opinions. However this would own anything!
Step One: Have a freind who stages the cars at the track.
Step Two: Stage Yourself about 10 feet away from normal stage lane.
Step Three: When the tree begins, roll off and get a jump! lol
Now thats how you get a good time! Pass the first eye at 15mph! lol
Thanks again for that link. It helped me.

I went last night, and found that bogging this car really slowed it down. My best results came with launching between 1700 and 2000 RPM, while the clutch slightly and rolling onto the throttle. I tried to get just a bit of wheel spin, and that seems to get the car into it's power band quickly to get you moving.
