hey do you guys put the black muffler cap in during the winter for back pressure? i heard it is smart to do this so the back pressure of cold air doesent suck in

No cold air will be coming in. Only hot air going out. The exhaust is for waste gasses leaving the engine. The black cap is mostly used for sound reduction.

Yes it would as much less exhaust is getting out.

adding restrictions would create backpressure, not help get rid of it. plus your engine will have to work harder to force the air out. if you want to quiet down your exhaust, use the insert. but don't use it for any other reason than quieting it down.
