alright, i'd love to have this exhaust on my SS/SC, but youtube videos make me hear that there is a raspy sound on the down rev... will i need a res or a small bullet style muffler to eliminate that rasp? or not?

It's raspy. It's probably because of the N1 muffler, you can probably chop it off and get something else put on. 2.5" inlet - 4" outlet or something like that. I haven't done it, since I don't really care anymore, and the silencer does a well enough job.

Check eBay first. Might be able to nab it on there for cheap. Then use Google Shopping.

See how you like it with just the silencer in.
If you want it more quiet, try getting an LSJ muffler or go with Walker Quiet Flow.

 

only thing about the silencer is it look retarded and restricts the flow. i loved it on my 2.4 it was deep as hell but it is raspy on the ss/sc

 

If he switches to any other muffler other than a straight through design, its gonna restrict flow.
It doesn't look too bad, it's what use since I'm not too bothered to spend another $100 to do the same thing the silencer that comes with the exhaust does.
It's the only thing I have exhaust wise, and its not that raspy but its pretty loud while accelerating. Idle is okay, along with cruising.

 

I had megan racing on my S2000, so much drone! but i was catless and it was loud as ***** lol

 

I've got ZZP header+downpipe 3" catted to 2.5" megan catback.

It's a baaaad drone. I will most likely run my silencer for the majority of the summer.

Otherwise it's not bad of a sound.
