Members who have tuned over STG II

i think this one of my next mods but, i was wondering if any of you have had any issues with getting warranty after the tune. Is there a way of knowing your tuned? I have a **** load of warranty left and want to make sure i can still use it.

I had a custom tune put on about 3 months after I bought the car (new), and I have never had a warrenty issue. Granted, nothing ever needed to be fixed on the actual engine. And yes they can tell if its a GM tune or not

I took my car in with a polished 2.9 pulley to get a belt tensioner replaced under warrenty and they said nothing.

depends on the dealer but with car sales lately
I am sure they will let things slide to do warranty work

last time I went to the dealer they where foaming at the mouth to
change some parts and I told them I have a modified stage 2 tune
they don't care but if your engine goes boom ... might be different
they have certain things that they can fix no questions asked but sometimes they
need to get permission from a GM rep and in rare case they will inspect the vehicule

just remember if you are going to mod past stage 2 be prepared to pay the bill

Unless you chunk something bad in the engine they have no reason to go snooping around. You have to be prepared though because you are entering the "wanna play.... gotta pay" zone. If you want to know 100% you will have warranty leave it at factory st2 specs.

I dont tell anyone stage 2. Just leave it to their imagination when you whoop their ass in a race.
