Meth + E85
Meth + E85
as my mods in my sig list I am already running E85 and I have been considering running meth along with it just to keep my iat's down. anyone done this? Thoughts?
No need to run Meth in your kit. Just run straight water with a really small nozzle. Just for the cooling.
I think I am going to be doing this on my M62 E85 setup.
On the street my IAT2s will stay in the 130s. On they dyno I touched 158 degrees.

idk. It depends on your kit.
My progressive controller adjustable from 0-27 psi to start the spray and 0-30psi for full spray. Right now all I have is a 5gph external mount nozzle. So I think I am going to start my progressive spray @ 5psi. The start setting will start off spraying 30% of the available water.
Then I will set my full spray setting to 30psi. My car only boosts to 16psi so I should be spray approximately 60% of a full spray at full boost. So it will be sort of like running a 2.5-2.7gph meth nozzle. There is more math involved but you get the jist of it.
But I would say 2-3gph on a standard kit.

could go 50/50 for cooling and add octane with the pure alcohol..
I am really new to the whole meth kit thing I live within 50 miles of POET where they make the mid-west's E85 so its really cheap here ($1.89) so I have never really even considered running a meth kit until now. so I might have some questions for you guys if I do go this route.

You could but I don't think it is neccessary.
With a 2.6" pulley on my M62 I can run 25 degrees of timing. I know that there is no set number on what the most timing you can run but most people agree that after 24-25 you are putting more stress on the rotating assembly and not making that much more hp. So even with my setup I don't need anymore octane.
And you would have to adjust your MAF for extra fuel being added by the meth kit. I know its not hard but its not as precise.
Maf calibration is based off of air flow at the inlet of the SC. Meth kits are based off of boost pressure after the SC. The two are not liner.
