I have used Snow performance in my LS1 Camaro when it was Turbo. I'd like to run meth in the slowbalt as well. I am seeing on ZZP they have a snow performance kit. What brands are people using? How was the install and any complaints or things u'd recommend be done?

Get the arm Meth injection kit comes with everything and isn't 600 bucks

 

I run a Devilsown stage 1. $240. I tapped into my windshield washer tank and put the pump behind the right headlight for a cleaner install.

 

i think he means AEM meth injection kit, and that is what i got. It's got everything you need / want from a kit for about 360 bucks. its a progressive kit, comes with a 1 gallon tank, low level sensor already built in, an LED that let's you know when the pump comes on, 3 different nozzles, all the hardware to hook it up, tubing and what not.

it was a pretty basic install for me. i mounted the pump and tank in the trunk. ran the meth tubing through the trunk (drilled a hole), under the car using zip ties, and into my throttle body spacer.

i mounted the controller box under my glovebox and ran all the wires under the passenger side trim / carpet.

overall not a hard install, and i could do it in half the time now that i know how to do it. the hardest part was getting the boost / vaccum line through the firewall grommet. i had to tape one end of the vaccum line to a golf club and guide it down to the grommet, then run around inside my car and pull it through.

Yea Ive never used progressive before. Seems kinda pointless especially on a Supercharged car.. near instant boost lol

From what i remember on my previous stage 1 kit from Snow Performance, that one has an LED as well. But no low level warnings or anything. but I was **** in checking that normally.

 

AIS stage one trunk it's great Nd very reliable

 

AEM kit for the win! Don't know much about the other kits though lol. AEM kit comes with everything you need and is a super easy install. Although you may go have to buy more wiring.. I did.. it was like, $5 though.. no biggie..

 

One thing I did add in is a pressure switch with LED light. Definitely wanna make sure your meth is pumping when your foot is to the floor haha.

i have heard nothing but good things about AIS as well. Devil's own seems to be a good choice if you are on a budget and still want the benefit of meth. plus, if you use the washer tank and mount the pump in the fender well, you dont take away trunk space.

 

Think i am going to devilsown since its most cost effective for me now. I have a left over Snow Performance tank I can use as well. From the looks of it, they r the same tanks

Good man i have everything I need to put her back together head and intake manifold are being ported right now, then the solid lifters will be installed and i can put the head back together again with the cams. Got all new valve seals and stuff. Last package from zzp just came today

well being a master mecahnic for a living does help not gonna lie
and even though i like driving my 280zx turbo Z i miss the SS she looks lonely on jackstands, and damit i have some records to set again!!

 

So is it better to inject the meth preblower or does it mater?

 

i figure the blower is what is getting hot, so i am spraying before it to help cool it, and the intake temps down. some people are adament about not spraying into the blower as it will mess up the rotors, but quite a few people have been spraying meth pre-blower and the rotors look fine.
